Course Overview

This course is designed for Cosmetologists, Estheticians, Manicurists, Estheticians/Manicurists or Eyelash Extension Specialty licensees, or a anyone with a Hair Weaving or Wig Specialty Certificate renewing their Texas license. This course will get you up-to-speed on the latest TDLR changes. Cosmetology licenses expire every year after the date of certification.

In order to acquire or renew your Texas License, you must complete 4 Hours of training from an accredited program. Our accredited program meets all of the requirement set by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation and is easy and convenient to complete. TDLR approved.

In order to renew your Cosmetology license, you must complete your continuing education hours prior to your license expiration. Continuing education classes can be taken any time during a renewal cycle.

3. What is the actual amount of instruction time required for the 4-hour cosmetology continuing education course?

TDLR rules state that one hour of continuing education is equivalent to 50 mins of actual instruction time. Our 4-hour course includes 3 hours and 20 minutes of actual class time.

4. Will you provide me with a certificate of completion?

Yes, as soon as you have completed the class, you will be able to email yourself the certificate of completion. You must retain a copy of the certificate of completion for a course for one year after the date of completion. A TDLR inspector may request to see your records as part of an inspection or investigation.

5. Do I Need Continuing Education?

The following licensees are required to complete 4 Hours of continuing education prior to each license renewal:

If you don't renew your license by the expiration date, you are not eligible to work under your license until all the renewal requirements are met, including continuing education.
